Escape Luxury Lodge is an intimate tented retreat in the wooded hills of the Nyabogati sector, at the year-round wildlife heart of Central Serengeti. We built this camp for those who want to be truly immersed, not merely spectators. Here, the wild comes to you.
Our twelve handcrafted tents are positioned to maximise seclusion and sightlines. The Serengeti is your garden, your view, your constant companion, from the first coffee on your veranda to the last sounds you hear before sleep.

Our luxury tented suites are private sanctuaries in the wooded hills of Central Serengeti. Roll back the canvas and the wild fills the room. Inside, local hardwood, hand-carved stone basins, canopied four-poster beds and East African art, each piece chosen with care.

At the headwaters of the Nyabogati
We are not in the famous grassland Serengeti of most photographs. We are in the wooded hills of the Nyabogati sector, where the terrain rises, the canopy closes, and the Nyabogati River begins from permanent springs that flow year-round.
Wooded hills mean leopard country. They mean forest birds that grassland camps never see. They mean privacy, no vehicle convoys, no shared sightings.

Leave camp before sunrise and lift off at first light for about an hour above the plains, followed by a champagne bush breakfast. Operated by a licensed third-party balloon company.

Where is Escape Luxury Lodge located?
In the Nyabogati sector of Central Serengeti, Tanzania โ wooded hills at the headwaters of the Nyabogati River, northeast of Seronera, where wildlife is present all year round.
How do I get to the lodge?
Most guests fly by light aircraft from Arusha or Kilimanjaro to Seronera airstrip, where our team meets you for the road transfer to camp. A guided road safari from Arusha can also be arranged. See how to get here.
What is included in my stay?
Full-board accommodation with breakfast, lunch and dinner, selected beverages, government taxes, Wi-Fi and limited laundry. Park fees, game drives and airstrip transfers are not included. See our rates for the full list.
Is the lodge suitable for families?
Yes. The Family Tent has two bedroom suites around a shared lounge, and children are welcomed and carefully attended to. Some activities have minimum ages โ walking safaris are for guests aged twelve and over.
What wildlife can I expect to see?
Central Serengeti has resident wildlife all year: lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo and plains game. Our wooded hills are leopard country, and the herds of the Great Migration pass through the central Serengeti in season.
When is the best time to visit?
Every month has its own character. June to October is dry and busy; November to May is greener and quieter. Our rates follow low, high and peak seasons โ see the best time to visit.
